Partners
Collaborating with Okanagan College provides organizations with access to a wide array of expertise, specialized research facilities, and valuable funding opportunities.
Why should your organization partner with °µÍøTV in research & development?
Cost-effective Research & Development:
Partnering with Okanagan College on applied research is a highly cost-effective way to conduct R&D, particularly because it opens the door to grants and funding opportunities that are exclusively available to post-secondary institutions (PSIs). Many government agencies and industry funding programs prioritize collaborations with PSIs, as these partnerships drive innovation, support workforce development, and contribute to economic growth.
By engaging with Okanagan College, businesses can significantly reduce their financial investment in research while still benefiting from cutting-edge expertise, state-of-the-art facilities, and access to specialized equipment that may otherwise be cost-prohibitive.
Innovative Solutions:
Partnering with Okanagan College on applied research gives organizations access to innovative, customized solutions. °µÍøTV’s research prioritizes cutting-edge sustainability and forward-thinking strategies that are both practical and impactful. By bridging the gap between groundbreaking ideas and real-world applications, °µÍøTV helps organizations stay competitive through applied innovation.
Workforce Development:
At °µÍøTV, applied research projects employ student research assistants who actively contribute to solving real-world business challenges. These students apply the knowledge they’ve gained in their studies while developing critical problem-solving, technical, and industry-specific skills.
Partnering organizations not only benefit from fresh perspectives and emerging talent but also help shape the future workforce. The hands-on experience students gain as research assistants helps prepare them for the job market with practical expertise that meets industry demands. Engaging in applied research with °µÍøTV is an investment in both innovation and the development of skilled professionals who will drive the region’s economy forward.
Sustainability Focused:
Okanagan College Applied Research program brings deep expertise in sustainability and a commitment to research that tackles industry challenges such as climate change.
By partnering with °µÍøTV, organizations can explore innovative solutions including but not limited to reducing water usage, transitioning to renewable energy, and other circular economy practices. These applied research partnerships help organizations move beyond short-term fixes and develop long-term sustainability strategies rooted in research and best practices.
