How did the SBT program impact you?

My experience in the SBT program was extremely beneficial for me personally, as well as professionally. A diverse and comprehensive curriculum provided me with the knowledge and confidence necessary to transition into a new career.

What did you do after graduating in 2023?

After graduating in 2023 I founded a sustainability-based design firm, focusing on minimizing the environmental impact of construction projects within the Okanagan Valley.

What specific knowledge and skills did the program equip you with?

The program provided me with an in-depth understanding of construction processes, cutting-edge industry technology, and business acumen. Maybe most importantly, I also learned why it is so important to become a practitioner of sustainable living. This collection of awareness and skills has allowed me to enter the industry at a high level and compete with established entities.

What would you say about the people in the program?

Along with the curriculum, a wonderful group of highly knowledgeable and experienced instructors were immensely impactful in helping me to find success in the design and construction industry.
