Can you tell us a bit about your background before joining the Sustainable Construction Diploma program?

The SBT program gave me the foundation I needed to step confidently into the construction industry and take on meaningful sustainability-focused work, even without prior construction experience.

What was your experience like in the program? What stood out to you?

The instructors and fellow students played a huge role in that — their industry knowledge, guidance, and genuine investment in our success helped me understand how to apply technical concepts in real project environments, whether in management, estimating, drafting, or design.

Where are you working now, and what kinds of projects have you been involved in since graduating?

Since joining Greyback Construction in 2023, I've been able to contribute to Step Code 5 and zero-carbon residential projects, support school district initiatives, and collaborate with Indigenous partners on sustainable accessible-housing efforts, all grounded in the skills and concepts I learned through SBT.
